AZPX18 Lookback: JFA’s 25th Anniversary – Fourteen Years Ago

Six flyers were made for the show:

Fourteen years ago J.F.A. celebrated being a band for 25 years….a quarter of a century. AZPX had the honor of producing the big gig at the legendary and defunct Hollywood Alley and to go the extra mile, Michael Cornelius let me raid his photo archive to design some special flyers for the occasion, along with a super special Sam Esmoer hand drawn flyer that we made a shirt out of. The opening bands were on fire, the crowd was on fire, the only thing not on fire was Hollywood Alley. When it was all said and done, the Alley cleared their second biggest night of alcohol sales in their history and yours truly was always welcome there. The night was chaotic, raucous and downright fun! Brian Brannon pulled me aside before they went on and asked “Why did you hire bands better than us? Now we have to top that?” He was right, all the bands were ON POINT that evening and so was the crowd. My friend Kelly Harris from ishootstuff.com was there to shoot some amazing photos and captured the night with some visuals of J.F.A., the crowd and local favorites The Mongoloids and Dephinger. Unfortunately, there’s no shots of Smoky Mountain Skullbusters, I think Kelly had some technical issues during their set but nonetheless, they were amazing. All photos ©Kelly Harris
