Fundraiser event to BENEFIT Greg Pino

Greg Pino was diagnosed with Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease last October.  ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. Motor neurons reach from the brain to the spinal cord and from the spinal cord to the muscles throughout the body. The progressive degeneration of the motor neurons in ALS eventually lead to their death. When the motor neurons die, the ability of the brain to initiate and control muscle movement is lost. With voluntary muscle action progressively affected, patients in the later stages of the disease may become totally paralyzed.

Due to the progression of the disease, Greg has been unable to work since last year. 100% of donations received will assist in Greg’s medical and living expenses. For more information on ALS, visit www.alsa.org.

*Please make your tax deductible donation of $100 payable to Gregory Pino. Donations must be received by August 23, 2008. For more than one entry, please make a copy of the entry form for each submission.  Please keep a copy for your tax records. The trip may be transferable, please have the names of the travelers available at the time of notification of the grand prize.
